This week I learnt how to add and subtract fractions and how to multiply and divide fractions. e.g. 1 ¼ + 1 ⅗ first you have to make it a improper fraction, 5/4 + 8/5, then you have to find the LCM (Lowest Common Multiple) of the denominators (20), 25/20 + 32/20 then add the numerators (25 + 32 = 57) so your answer is 57/20 then you simplify it to 2 17/20.
