Week 8 Term 3

This week on Monday we went up to the tech art block and made a boil-up and did some fun Maori activities like carving and flax weaving. Everyone had a special job to do, some people made bread and others cooked the meat or boiled the potatoes. We did this because our school is celebrating Te Wiki O Te-Reo Maori (Maori Language week).

In maths I learned how to translate shapes. it is really easy. all you have to do is follow what the vector tells yo to do, e.g. (5,-7) that vector tells you to move the shape five spaces right and seven spaces down. With vectors the horizontal number always comes first, and if it is moving right then it is just a normal number but if it is moving to the left then it has a negative sign before it (-). Same with up and down, up, normal number, down, negative number.

Goals for next week:

To finish my book review.

I will know I have achieved this when I have fully edited it and think that it is up to a high standard.
